Resolution 005-1987 .;- Board of County Commissioners RESOLUTION NO, 005 -1987 A RESOLUTION DECLARING A DEFINITE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ABANDONMENT OF A CERTAIN SECTION OF FOURTH STREET LOCATED ON STOCK ISLAND, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, Fourth Street located on Stock Island in the unincorporated area of Monroe County, Florida, is a dedicated County road; and WHEREAS, it appears the road has never been constructed and it appears that there is no future intent to construct the road; and WHEREAS, it appears that the abandonment and closing of the road will not impede the access to any properties; and WHEREAS, it is desired to renounce Monroe County's interest and claim to the road; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. On its own motion and under the authority granted in F, S. 336,09, a public hearing shall be held by the Board of County Commissioners on February 17, 1987, at 3:00 P.M., Courtroom B, 500 Whitehead Street, Key West, Florida, on the advisability of abandoning and closing the following dedicated County road: That portion of Fourth Street extending from the north edge of Mac Donald Street to the southern edge of U.S. 1, Stock Island, Florida, as shown in Plat Book 1, page 55, of the Official Records of Monroe County, Florida. Section 2. The County Attorney's Office is hereby directed to prepare and advertise in a newspaper of general circulation in Monroe County an advertisement announcing the hearing described in Section 1. The advertisement shall be published at least two weeks in advance of the hearing date described in Section 1, PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the I. j.j, day of '- )a VI IJ A r- ~ , A.D., 1987.
