Resolution 118-1987 County Commission RESOLUTION NO. 118-1987 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MONROE COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION TO INTRODUCE A BILL TO ADD A THIRD CENT TO THE TOURIST DEVELOPMENT TAX FOR MONROE COUNTY; TO DIVIDE SAID TAX WITH ONE-HALF CENT TO GO TO THE JAIL FUND AND THE BALANCE DISCRETIONARY TO BE USED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSION TO REDUCE AD VALOREM TAXES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: 1. The Monroe County Legislative Delegation is hereby requested to introduce a bill creating the third cent to the tourist development tax. 2. Said tax should be divided equally with one-half to the Jail Fund and the balance discretionary to be used by the County Commission to reduce ad valorem taxes. 3. The Clerk of said Board is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Monroe County Legis1a- tive Delegation.
