RESOLUTION NO. 379-1986
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
S lONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLOR IDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD TO EXECUTE A SIGN LEASE AND FIRST
ADDENDUM TO LEASE AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
THE COUNTY OF MONROE AND ALAMO RENT-A-CAR,
INC.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Mayor and Chairman of the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to
execute a Sign Lease and First Addendum to Lease Agreement by and
between the County of Monroe and Alamo Rent-a-Car, Inc., a copy
of same being attached hereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the ~day of December, A.D. 1986.

SH~N LEASE
THIS LEASE made and executed on the 16th day of December,
"
A.D. 1986, by and between the COUNTY OF MONROE, a political
subdivision of the State of Florida, hereinafter referred to as
Lessor, and ALAMO RENT A CAR, INC., whose principal office is
located at 1401 South Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
33316, hereinafter referred to as Lessee.
IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants, promises and
premises herein contained, the parties hereto agree as follows:
Section 1. Description of Premises and Use. Lessor hereby
leases to Lessee and Lessee hires from Lessor for the purpose of
installing one (1) sign as hereinafter described at the Key West
International Airport, owned and operated by the COUNTY OF
MONROE, in location A-7 as shown on the attached sketch which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Section 2. Term of Lease. This lease shall begin on the
1st day of October, 1986 and shall end on September 30, 1987.
Section 3. ~. The Lessee shall pay to the Lessor the
total rent for the term of this lease One Thousand Dollars
($1,200.00) in lawful money of the United States of America, plus
5% sales tax, in advance, upon execution of this lease. If
Lessee terminates this lease prior to the end of the term hereof,
Lessee shall not receive any refund.
Section 4. Sign. The Lessee is hereby granted the right to
install one (1) sign, two feet high by three feet wide (2' x 3'),
in the area as stated in Section 1. The Lessee shall submit to
the Lessor a detailed drawing of the sign setting forth all word-
ing to be placed on the sign, including material to be used in
the construction thereof, colors, and any other matter relating
thereto for approval by the Lessor prior to installation of the
same. The sign shall be constructed in a professional manner and
installed at the location designated herein in accordance with
the instructions of Lessor.
Section 5. Maintenance. The Lessee shall maintain the sign
in good order at all times during thp term of this lease and if
Lessee fail1' to do 1'0, Lessor sh a 1).- give Lessee ten (10) day1'
notice of this failure to comply and upon Lessee's failure to
comply in maintaining said sign, Lessee does hereby give, grant
and authorize the Lessor to remove said sign at Lessee's expense.
Section 6. ~aste and Nui1'ance Prohibited. Lessee shall not
commit or suffer to be committed any waste in the demised
premises or any nuisance.
Section 7. Taxes. Lessee shall pay, before delinquent, all
personal property taxes assessed against said sign.
Section 8.
Termination and Repairs.
Lessee shall at the
termination of this lease remove any sign installed hereunder
immediately upon termiIlation and shall repair any damage caused
by said removal.
If Lessee fails to remove said sign upon
termination of thi s lease, Lessee does hereby give, grant and
authorize the Lessor the right to remove said sign on behalf of
Lesspe at Less~~e's expeT1SC.

FIRST ADDENDUM TO LEASE AGREEMENT
THIS FIRST ADDENDUM is made and entered into as of
, 1986 by and between
LESSOR
LESSEE
County of Monroe
and
Alamo Rent-A-Car, Inc.
1401 South Federal Highway
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
NOTWITHSTANDING anything to the contrary in the Lease to
which this addendum is attached, in consideration of the mutual
covenants contilincd herein and other 0nnrl ~nd valuable
consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which is hereby
acknowledged, the parties hereby agree as follows:
1. Lessee shall be allowed to install a direct line
telephone irronediately under the sign at Lessee I s cost. Lessee
further agrees to pay for any charges which are incurred for the
said telephone, including the removal thereof upon termination of
this lease.
2. Except as specifically modified and supplemented herein,
the terms and conditions of the original lease shall remain
unchanged and in full force and effect between the parties.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have caused this addendum to
be executed on their behalf as of October 1, 1986.
