BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: That the Mayor and Chairman of the Board of County Commis- sioners of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute a Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement by and between the State of Florida Department of Transportation and Monroe County, Florida, a copy of same being attached hereto, regarding proj ect known as WPI 116822619 - Marathon Airport New Runway Relocation and Seal Coat Apron, Monroe County, Florida. WIT N E SSE T H: WHEREAS, the Department and the Public Agency heretofore on the 30th day of April 1984 entered into a Joint participation Agreement; and WHEREAS, the Public Agency desires to accomplish certain project development as outlined in the amended Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the Department desires to provide no additional partiCipation in all eligible items of development for this project as outlined in the enclosed Exhibit "All to a total Department share of $37,500.00 NOW, THEREFORE, THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH: that for and in consideration of the mutual benefits to flow from each to the other the parties hereto agree that the above described Joint Participation Agreement is to be amended and supplemented as follows: Project Cost - The estimated total project cost in which the Department will participate is $750,000.00. This amount is based upon the estimate summarized in the amended Exhibit "A" and attached hereto and made a part hereof. The Public Agency agrees to bear all expenses in excess of the estimated total cost of the Project and any deficits involved. Department Participation - The Department agrees to participate in the project costs as herein described in the amount of $37,500.00 (including contingencies) and a previous amount provided for in that Joint Participation Agreement which was executed on April 30, 1984, or in an amount equal to the percentages as shown in the enclosed Exhibit "All, whichever is less. ~ -1- The Project Budget. Prior to the execution of this agreement a Project Budget f 11 be prepared by the Public Agency and appr ~d by the Department comptroller, as described in Exhibit "B". The Public Agency shall maintain said budget, carry out the Project and shall incur obligations against and make disbursements of Project funds only in conformity with the latest approved budget for the Project. The budget may be revised periodically, but no budget or revision thereof shall be effective unless and until the Department shall have approved the same. Schedule of Disbursements. The Public Agency shall provide the Department with a time-phased schedule of the Department funds to be expended on the Project, as described in Exhibit "B". This schedule shall show extimated disbursements for the entire term of the Project by quarter of fiscal year in accordance with Department fiscal policy. The schedule may be divided by Project phase where such division is determined to be appropriate by the Department. This schedule shall be updated each quarter based on a July through June fiscal year and forwarded to the Department District Office so as to be received by the first day of the quarter.
