RESOLUTION NO. 043-1985
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO EXECUTE A SIGN LEASE BY
AND BETWEEN TURTLE KRAALS, LTD., A FLORIDA
LIMITED PARTNERSHIP AND THE COUNTY OF MONROE,
STATE OF FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman of the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to
execute a Sign Lease by and between Turtle Kraals, Ltd., a
Florida limited partnership and the County of Monroe, State of
Florida, a copy of same being attached hereto, concerning a
sign lease at the Marathon Airport.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Chairman of the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of
said Board held on the 8th day of February, A.D. 1985.

SIGN LEASE
THIS LEASE made and entered into as of the
day of
, A.D. 1985, by and between the COUNTY OF MONROE,
STATE OF FLORIDA, a political subdivision of the State of Florida,
hereinafter referred to as Lessor, and TURTLE KRAALS, LTD, , A
FLORIDA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP, whose branch office is located at
11840 Overseas Highway, Mile Marker~3, Marathon, Florida 33050

hereinafter referred to as Lessee. Principal office located at
One Plaza Place, N. E., St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants, promises and premises
herein contained, the parties hereto agree as follows:
S~ction 1. Description of Premises and Use, Lessor hereby
leases to Lessee and Lessee leases from Lessor that certain space,

at the Marathon Airport shown in attached photo for the purpose of
installing one (1) sign as hereinafter described at the Marathon
Airport, Marathon, Monroe County, Florida, owned and operated by
the COUNTY OF MONROE in a location to be approved by the Airport
Supervisor of the Marathon Airport,
Section 2. Term of Lease. This lease shall begin on the 1st
day of October, 1984, and shall end on the 30th day of September,
1"985.
Section 3. Rent. The Lessee shall pay to the Lessor the
total rent for the term of this lease One Thousand Dollars
($1,000,00), in lawful money of the United States of America, plus
any sales tax in advance upon execution of this lease or any re-

newal hereof. If Lessee terminates this lease prior to the end
of the term hereof, Lessee shall not receive any refund,
Section 4. Sign, The Lessee is hereby granted the right to
install one (1) sign, four feet high by six inches wide, (4' x 6"),
in the area stated in Section 1, The Lessee shall submit to the
Lessor a detailed drawing of the sign setting forth all wording
to be placed on the sign including material to be used in the
construction thereof, colors, and any other matter relating thereto
for approval by the Lessor prior to installation of same. The
sign shall be constructed in a professional manner and installed,at
the location designated herein in accordance with the instructions
of Lessor.

Section 5, Maintenance. The Lessee shall maintain the sign
in good order at all times during the term of this lease and if
Lessee fails to do so, Lessor shall give Lessee ten (10) days
notice of this failure to comply and upon Lessee's failure to
comply in maintaining said sign, Lessee does hereby give, grant,
and authorize the Lessor to remove said sign at Lessee's expense.
Section 6. Waste and Nuisance Prohibited. Lessee shall not

commit or suffer to be committed an~ waste in the demised premises
or any nuisance.
Section~. Taxes. Lessee shall pay, before delinquent, all
personal property taxes assessed against said signs,
Section 8. Termination and Repairs. Lessee shall at the
termination of this lease remove any sign installed hereunder
immediately upon termination and shall repair any damage caused by
said removal. If Lessee fails to remove said sign upon termination
of this lease, Lessee does hereby give, grant; and authorize the
Lessor the right to remove said sign in behalf of Lessee at Lessee's
expense. If litigation is necessary for the enforcement of this.
lease, each party agrees to pay their own legal fees.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused these
