RESOLUTION NO. 077 -1985
RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
AMENDING THE CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND MONROE CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY CONCERNING THE MONROE COUNTY JAIL
EXPANSION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, previously entered into a
contract with Monroe Construction Company for the purpose of
making improvements to the Monroe County Jail facilities, and
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, has issued Change Order
No. 1 to allow a time extension of 91 days to the initial
contract time and submitted said Change Order No. 1 to the Board
of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, for its
approval, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That said Board of County Commissioners hereby approves
Change Order No. 1 to that certain contract entered into by and
between Monroe County, Florida, and Monroe Construction Company
for the purpose of making improvements to the Monroe County Jail
facilities.
2. That said Board also approves and authorizes the adjust-
ment to be made in the Contract Price and Time as contained in
said Change Order No.1.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 8th day of March, A.D. 1985.

Nature of the Change:
A time extension of 91 days due to the following:
1. The contract itself was signed by the parties concerned on the sixteenth of May,
1984. The building permit was not issued by the County of Monroe until the
sixteenth of July, 1984.
2. For an approximate period of thirty days, the architect in charge stopped work
with regards to shop drawings due to a delay of funding by Monroe County.
The changes result in the following adjustment of Contract Price and Time:
