RESOLUTION NO.079A-1985
A RESOLUTION RECIPROCATING THE EXTENSION OF
FRIENDSHIP AND RESPECT ESTABLISHED BY THE
CITY OF LARGO WITH MONROE COUNTY AND
ESPECIALLY WITH THE KEY LARGO AREA.
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Largo, Florida, has
recently extended the friendship and respect of that City through
Monroe County, and especially to the Key Largo area, and
WHEREAS, in consequence of this action by the City of Largo,
the Board of County Commissioners, and numerous persons employed
by the Board have had the pleasure of discovering the many
delightful attributes of the City of Largo, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the City of Largo and Monroe
County, and especially the Key Largo area have much in common,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Monroe County, the
Nation's Caribbean, the end of the rainbow, and a true island
paradise, returns the expression of respect and friendship
extended by the City of Largo.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a special meeting of said Board held
on the 8th day of March, 1985.
