RESOLUTION NO. 175-1985
A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO.
163-1985, AND RE-SETTING DATE, TIME AND PLACE
FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED ABANDONMENT
OF A PORTION OF HILSON COURT IN HAMMER POINT
PARK LOCATED IN TAVERNIER, MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, previously adopted Resolution No. 163-1985 on May 24,
1985, for the purpose of holding a public hearing at 8:30 A.M. on
Friday, July 5, 1985, concerning the proposed abandonment of a of
Hilson Court in Hammer Point Park located in Tavernier, Monroe
County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, said Board now desires to rescind said Resolution
No. 163-1985 as it has become necessary to reschedule said public
hearing for Friday, July 2, 1985, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, desires to renounce and disclaim any right of the County
and the public in and to the hereinafter described streets,
alley-ways, roads or highways, and
WHEREAS, under Chapter 336, Florida Statutes, it is neces-
sary to hold a public hearing after publishing due notice of said
hearing in accordance with said Chapter, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. That Resolution No. 163-1985 of the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby rescinded.
2. That at 8:30 A.M., Friday, July 2, 1985, at the
Tavernier Elks Club, Mile Marker 92%, Bayside, Tavernier, Monroe
County, Florida, said Board will hold a public hearing to deter-
mine whether or not said Board will renounce and disclaim any
right of the County and the public in and to the following
described streets, alley-ways, roads or highways:
A portion of the dedicated street of HILSON
COURT, as shown on the Plat of HAMMER POINT
PARK, as recorded in Plat Book 6 at Page 35
of the Public Records of Monroe County,
Florida, being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of
Lot 241 of said Hammer Point Park; thence run
South 41 degrees 55 minutes 12 seconds West
for a distance of 37.36 feet; thence run
South 00 degrees 04 minutes 48 seconds East
for a distance of 37.36 feet to a point on
the northwesterly line of Lot 239; thence run
along said northwesterly line of Lot 239, and
the northeasterly prolongation thereof, North
41 degrees 55 minutes 12 seconds East for a
distance of 65.06 feet; thence run north 48
degrees 04 minutes 48 seconds for a distance
of 25.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said
Board be, and he is hereby authorized to publish notice of said
meeting in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 335, Florida
Statutes.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 7th day of June, A.D. 1985.
