RESOLUTION NO, 199-1985
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is empowered to
regulate parking on any properties owned by the County, and
WHEREAS, traffic in and around Jackson Square, Key West, is
particularly congested, and
WHEREAS, traffic in and about Jackson Square is impeded by
the stopping, standing and parking of vehicles, and
WHEREAS, the unimproved property adjacent to the Florida
Keys Aqueduct Authority tanks does not meet minimum space stan-
dards for vehicle traffic, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. All the parking area in Jackson Square shall be des-
ignated.
2. The Director of Public Works is hereby directed to
place official signs notifying the public of all designated
parking spaces and improperly parked vehicles will be towed away
at the owner's expense.
3. The Sheriff of Monroe County is hereby requested to
deputize the Jackson Square security guard appointed by the
County Commission for the issuance of citations for violations of
these designations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 2nd
