A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
IN RECOGNITION OF THE LATE PRUDENCE FLEMING.
WHEREAS, Ms. Prudence Fleming, was an active, twenty year
resident of the Florida Keys; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Prudence Fleming, was very active in civic
affairs; she was a member of the League of Women Voters, the
Democratic Club; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Prudence Fleming, was also a member of the
Marathon Garden Club, Literacy Volunteers, AARP and the Marathon
Theater Group; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to
recognize the late Prudence Fleming for her extensive public
service and her vast dedication to the community; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The Board hereby adopts this Resolution as
evidence of i,ts regret and mourning for the passing of the late
Prudence Fleming and in recognition of her extensive dedication.
Section 2. The Board hereby requests the Clerk to forward
copies of this Resolution to Ms. Fleming's surviving family
members to express the Board's sorrow.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board held
on the 14th of December, 1994.
