Resolution 444-1994 RESOLUTION NO. 444- 1994 A RESOLUTION STATING THE INTENT OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO USE THE UNIFORM AD VALOREM METHOD FOR THE COLLECTION OF NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS IN THE CUDJOE GARDENS MUNICIPAL SERVICE CULVERT DISTRICT AND STATING THE REASON THEREFOR. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners as the governing body of the Cudjoe Gardens Municipal Service Culvert District (District) declares its intent to use the uniform ad valorem method for the collection of non-ad valorem assessments as authorized by Sec. 197.3632, Fla. Stat. The non-ad valorem assessment will be levied against non-exempt real property within the District. The canal water quality within the District is poor. The levy is needed to finance the construction of culverts to improve the circulation of water in the canals and hence to improve water quality.
