RESOLUTION NO. 445-1994
A RESOLUTION STATING THE INTENT OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO
USE THE UNIFORM AD VALOREM METHOD FOR THE
COLLECTION OF NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS IN THE
JOLLY ROGERS ESTATES MUNICIPAL SERVICE CULVERT
DISTRICT AND STATING THE REASON THEREFOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners as the governing body
of the Jolly Rogers Estates Municipal Service Culvert District (District) declares its intent
to use the uniform method of non-ad valorem assessment authorized by Sec. 197.3632,
Fla. Stat. The non-ad valorem assessment will be levied against non-exempt real
property within the District. The District is more particularly described as follows:
Jolly Rogers Estates, PB5/34, excluding Block 20.
Section 2. The canal water quality within the District is poor. The levy is
needed to finance the construction of culverts to improve the circulation of water
in the canals and hence to improve water quality.
Section 3. The Clerk is directed to send certified copies of this resolution
by January 10, 1995, to:

of lands within the boundaries of the
Jolly Rogers Estates Municipal Ser-
vice District (hereafter District) that
the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County acting as the gov-
erning body of the District (hereafter
Commission) intends to use the uni-
form ad valorem method of collecting
non-ad valorem assessments levied
by the Commission'as set forth in
Sec. 197.3632, Fla. Stat., and that
the Commission will hold a public
hearing on Wednesday, December •
14, 1994, at 10:00 a.m. at the Mara-
thon Government Center, 2798
Overseas Highway, Marathon, Mon-
roe County, Florida.
The purpose of the public hearing is
to consider the adoption of a Resolu-
tion authorizing the Commission to
use the uniform as valorem method

The Commission is considering
adopting a non-ad valorem assess-
ment for the year 1995.
This non-ad valorem assessment is:

the use of the uniform ad valorem

Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Flor-
ida Statutes, notice is given that if a
person decided to appeal any deci-
sion made by the Board with respect
to any matter considered at such
hearings or meetings, he will need a
record of the proceedings, and that,
for such purpose, he may need to en-
• sure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made, which record
includes the testimony and evidence
';upon which the appeal is to be
based.
