A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION
OF AN APPLICATION FOR $6,483 IN COMMUNITY SERVICE
BLOCK GRANT FUNDS TO PROVIDE MEAL SERVICE TO LOW
INCOME PERSONS.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioner of Monroe County,
Florida, is a body corporate and politic existing under the laws
of the State of Florida, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, recognizes the urgent need for nutritious food for Monroe
County low income persons eighteen years of age and older to meet
at least one-third the recommended dietary allowance, and
WHEREAS, a sufficient number of such meals are currently
unavailable for the low income persons residing in Monroe County,
Florida, and
WHEREAS, low income persons require nutritious food to become
or remain self sufficient,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Monroe County, Florida, obligates itself to submit an
application for $6,483 in Community Service Block Grant funds and
to sign the grant award when so notified to provide meal services
to low income persons during the period of April 1, 1984 through
September 30, 1984.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 27th day of January, A.D. 1984.
