RESOLUTION NO. 088-1984
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF KEY
WEST, FLORIDA, AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, SAID AGREEMENT PROVIDING FOR
FULL-TIME AMBULANCE SERVICE TO THE RESIDENTS OF MUNICI-
PAL SERVICE TAX DISTRICT lA, INCLUDING ADVANCED LIFE
SUPPORT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Mayor and Chairman of the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute
an Agreement by and between the City of Key West, Florida, and the
Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, a copy of
same being attached hereto; said agreement providing for full-time
ambulance service to the residents of Municipal Service Tax Dis-
trict lA, including Advanced Life Support.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 23rd day of March, A.D. 1984.

AGREEMENT
AGREEMENT made this ~3W\~ day of (Y\A~,h , 1984, by and
between the City of Key West, Florida herein referred to as
"City", and the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, herein referred to as "County".
WHEREAS, the City currently provides ambulance service to
City residents through a contractor; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to provide full-time ambulance
service to the residents of Municipal Service Tax District lA
("MSTD lA"), including Advanced Life Support; and
WHEREAS, City and County desire to cooperate to increase the
level of ambulance service to the residents of Key West and
adjacent areas in MSTD lA; now, therefore,
In consideration of the premises and of the mutual convenants
contained, the parties agree as follows:
1. That City shall pay its full-time ambulance contractor
and shall cause said contractor to provide emergency and non-
emergency ambulance service to the residents of MSTD lA, as is
provided to residents of Key West, including Advanced Life Support.
2. That County shall pay to City the sum of $24,000.00 for
the Fiscal year 1983-84, for the said ambulance service to include
Advanced Life Support. The salary of the Medical Director, includ-
ing errors and omissions insurance for the Director of Advanced
Life Support, shall be included in the said sum to be paid by
County.

3. City shall account to County for the application of
these funds to the provision of ambulance service to the residents
of HSTD lA.
The term of this contract shall be twelve (12) months and the
parties shall cooperate in good faith to carry out its intent.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this agreement
