RESOLUTION DESIGNATING AND AUTHORIZING ALL MONROE
COUNTY BUILDING AND ZONING ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS
(VIOLATIONS INSPECTORS) TO ISSUE CITATIONS FOR
VIOLATIONS OF ANY MONROE COUNTY ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, by the terms of House Bill 3557 enacted into law in
the 1976 Legislative Session, any Monroe County Building and
Zoning Enforcement Official designated by resolution of the Board
of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, may issue
citations for violations of any Monroe County Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that those individuals
employed by Monroe County as Monroe County Building and Zoning
Enforcement Officials (Violations Inspectors) are qualified by
reason of training and experience to issue said citations for
violations, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That all individuals employed by Monroe County,
Florida, as Monroe County Building and Zoning Enforcement Offi-
cials (Violations Inspectors) shall be authorized to issue
citations for violations of any Monroe County Ordinance in
accordance with the requirements of law.
2. That it shall be encumbent upon the Director of the
Monroe County Building, Planning & Zoning Department to furnish
and certify a complete list of all Monroe County Building and
Zoning Enforcement Officials (Violations Inspectors) to the
members of the Judiciary, 16th Judicial Circuit, to the Honorable
Kirk Zuelch, State Attorney, and the County Attorney.
In addi-
tion, said Director is hereby instructed to furnish notice to
said offices of any additions and/or deletions to said list as
soon as same may occur.
3. That the Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to
forward certified copies of this resolution to the members of the
Judiciary, 16th Judicial Circuit, to the Honorable Kirk Zuelch,
State Attorney, and the County Attorney.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 6th day of April, A.D. 1984.
