RESOLUTION NO. 133-1984
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BY
AND BETWEEN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND FRANK KEEVAN &
SONS, INC. COVERING BOATING IMPROVEMENT FUND
PROJECT AT "LAKES" PASSAGE, KEY WEST TO BOCA
GRANDE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Mayor and Chairman of the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to
execute an Agreement by and between the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, and Frank Keevan & Sons,
Inc., a copy of same being attached hereto, covering Boating
Improvement Fund Project at "Lakes" Passage, Key West to Boca
Grande.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 4th day of May, A.D. 1984.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT MADE THIS 4th day of May,:, 1984, by and between FRANK
KEEV AN & SONS, I Ne., Contractors, hereinafter called the "Contractor", and
the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, of
County of Monroe, State of Florida, hereinafter called the "Owner",
WITNESSETH, that the Contractor and the Owner for the consideration herein-
after named agree as follows:
1. The Contractor shall furnish all the materials and perform all the work
as required by the Specifications for Boating Improvement Fund Project at
"Lakes" passage, Key West to Boca Grande
Monroe County, Florida, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
2. The work to be performed under the contract shall be commenced within
twenty-one (21) days from date Owner provides Notice to Proceed and be completed
within sixty (60) days of commencement.
3. Further, the parties agree that if the Notice to Proceed has not been
given by Owner to Contractor on or before September 10, 1984, that this Agreement
shall be null and void.
4. Further, it is agreed the work to be performed under the contract is
contingent upon receipt of appropriate grant monies from the State Department
of Natural Resources, Boating Improvement Fund, and that the Contractor will
complete all necessary pre-construction and project completion certifications.
S. The Owner shall pay to the Contractor for the performance of the
contract the sum of Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars ($8977)
upon completion by Contractor and accepted by Owner, subject to terms and
conditions of this Agreement.
6. The attached Specifications together with this agreement, form the contract
and they are as fully a part of this contract as if herein repeated.
