RESOLUTION NO. l64A-1984
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING WILLIAM "BILLY"
FREEMAN, SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS, TO CALL A
REFERENDUM ON THE NOVEMBER 6, 1984 ELECTION
BALLOT IN MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO
DETERMINE IF A ONE-YEAR OPTIONAL 1% SALES TAX
WILL BE LEVIED IN MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, On June 1, 1984, the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County requested that William "Billy" Freeman,
Supervisor of Elections, call a referendum on the November 6,
1984 election ballot to determine if a one-year optional 1% sales
tax will be levied in Monroe County, Florida, the funds from said
sales tax to be specifically allocated for Criminal Justice
Facilities in Monroe County, Florida, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMISSION OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
William "Billy" Freeman, Supervisor of Elections, is hereby
requested to call a referendum on the November 6, 1984 election
ballot in Monroe County, Florida, for the purpose of determining
whether or not a one-year optional 1% sales tax will be levied in
Monroe County, Florida, with the funds from said sales tax to be
specifically allocated for Criminal Justice Facilities in Monroe
County, Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners at a
regular meeting held on the 1st day of June, A.D. 1984.
