RESOLUTION NO. 182 -1984
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE REQUIREMENTS
CONCERNING FEDERAL GRANTS TO BE WAIVED;
REQUESTING THE GRANT WRITER TO FACILITATE SAID
WAIVER AND PROCESSING OF THE COUNTY OF MONROE,
FLORIDA, REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL GRANT FUNDS ON
BIG PINE KEY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, a contract to purchase certain properties on Big
Pine Key, Florida, has been entered into by and and between the
County of Monroe, Florida and
WHEREAS, additional properties are located immediately
adjacent to these properties already contracted for, which can be
of great value and benefit to the County's further plans on Big
Pine Key, Florida, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMISSION OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That the grant writer, whose services are being utilized
in the acquisition of Federal Grants in the County be, and he is
hereby requested to act in concert with the County Administrator
in attempting to secure from the Federal Government a waiver of
any Federal Rules so that a Federal grant can be secured for
County of Monroe, Florida, to acquire the additional lands herein
referred to.
2. That the purpose of this endeavor would be to secure
from the Federal Government grant funds for the acquisition of
further properties on Big Pine Key, Florida, and to utilize the
value of the lots already contracted for as the matching funds in
the anticipated acquisition.
Passed and Adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 29th day of June, A.D. 1984.
