RESOLUTION NO. 205 -1984
RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
AMENDING THE CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND THE BREWER COMPANY OF
FLORIDA, INC. FOR KEY LARGO ROADS II PROJECT
(MILE MARKER 97.2).
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, previously entered into a
contract with The Brewer Company of Florida, Inc. for the purpose
of making roadway improvements, and
WHEREAS, after the contract letting it was determined that a
cross over should be constructed, and
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, has issued Change Order
No. 1 to cover the construction of the cross over under said
project and submitted said Change Order No. 1 to the Board of
County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, for its approval,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That said Board of County Commissioners hereby approves
Change Order No. 1 to that certain contract entered into by and
between Monroe County, Florida, and The Brewer Company of
Florida, Inc. for the construction of the cross over.
2. That said Board also approves and authorizes the
adjustment to be made in the Contract Price and Time as contained
in said Change Order No.1.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 27th day of July, A.D. 1984.

Dear Mr. Stickney:
Per your request in reply to Mayor Sorensen's letter to you dated February 9, 1984
regarding the construction of a cross over, we have contacted The Brewer Co.mpany of
Florida, Inc., currently doing work on project Key Largo Roads II, for a price to pave
this cross over.
This change order in the amount of $2,000 for" paving is forwarded for further
processing.
As a matter of interest to you, the road crew from the Upper Keys Division
constructed the cross over base to our specification, and should be commended for
their excellent workmanship and knowledge of road construction.
The cross over has since been paved and is in use by the public.
