COLLECTOR TO
WHOSE BILL IS
TAX YEAR.
RESOLUTION NO. 265-1984
DIRECTING AND PERMITTING THE TAX
REFRAIN FROM BILLING ANY TAXPAYER
FIVE DOLLARS AND LESS FOR THE ENSUING
WHEREAS, a number of individuals and entities will have tax
bills of Five Dollars and less, and
WHEREAS, the cost of printing and mailing, as well as giving
official notice and publication, will render the sending of such
bills completely uneconomical, and
WHEREAS, the Tax Collector has requested the County
Commission of Monroe County, Florida, to obviate the necessity of
mailing such bills of Five Dollars and less for the next ensuing
year, now, therefore,
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE COUNTY COMMISSION
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Tax Collector shall not send
bills of Five Dollars or less to any taxpayer for the upcoming
tax year; it being determined by the County Commission that such
billing is uneconomical and the cost of such would be in excess
of the sum billed, if collected.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
21st day of September
