Resolution 273-1984 Commissioner Wilhelmina Harvey RESOLUTION NO. 273 -1984 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING ALL AGENCIES COOPERATE IN THE CARE AND UPKEEP OF THE B ILL BUTLER P ARK AND PROVIDING FOR THE PERPETUAL CARE OF SAID PARK. WHEREAS, Bill Butler, devoted his life to the betterment of the Florida Keys and in particular Key West, and WHEREAS, Bill Butler has become a renowned figure in Monroe County and Key West, and WHEREAS, Bill Butler recently passed on and it is the belief of the County Commission of Monroe County, Florida, that his memory should be perpetuated in some appropriate manner, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE COUNTY COMMISSION OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Park named for Bill Butler in the memory of that fine citizen of Key West, Florida, should be perpetually cared for and continued as a memorial of the outstanding human example he rendered to this area. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the County shall cooperate in any needed requirement to beautify said Park and in so doing to cooperate with any agencies which are involved or which will be involved in this endeavor. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an Inter10ca1 Agreement be structured and entered into with the City of Key West to beautify said Park and to provide the necessary improvements needed at said Park for the use of the public who so desire to visit there. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 21st day of September, A.D. 1984.
