RESOLUTION NO. 306 -1984
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION TO CONDUCT A TRAFFIC STUDY TO
CONSIDER INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC LIGHT AT THE
INTERSECTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY NO. 1 AND KEY
DEER ~OULEVARD IN ~IG PINE KEY, MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the ~oard
of County Commissioners of Monroe County, florida, that there
exists a serious traffic hazard at the intersection of U.S.
Highway No. 1 and Key Deer ~oulevard in ~ig Pine Key, Monroe
County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, this area is heavily travelled by travelling
motorists and citizens of Monroe County, florida, and
WHEREAS, the ~oard desires to insure the safety of said
travelling motorists and the citizens of Monroe County, Florida,
now, therefore,
~E IT RESOLVED ~Y THE ~OARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That the ~oard of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, hereby requests the Department of Transportation
to make a traffic study to consider the installation of a traffic
light at the intersection of U.S. Highway No.1 and Key Deer
~oulevard, ~ig Pine Key, Monroe county, Florida.
2. That the Clerk of said ~oard be and he is hereby
directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
Department of Transportation, State of Florida for appropriate
action.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the ~oard of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said ~oard held
on the 19th day of October, A.D. 1984.
