Resolution 140-1982 RESOLUTION NO. 140 -1982 RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE CONTINUATION OF CUSTOMS AGENTS SERVICE AT KEY LARGO AND HARATHON. WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, that the Customs Agents now provided for Key Largo, Florida and Marathon, Florida possibly will be removed, and WHEREAS, it is considered as a dire need of this County to maintain said Customs Agents in the aforesaid two locations, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO}TI1ISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: 1. That the proper Federal authorities be advised that there is a need for the continuation of Customs Agents at Key Largo, Florida, and Marathon, Florida, and that said Commission does object strenuously to any plan by the Federal authorities for the removal of said Customs Agents. 2. That a copy of this resolution be forward by the Clerk to the proper United States Customs Office so that official notice may be made of the action of the aforesaid County Commission. Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 5th day of April, A.D. 1982.
