RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIID~~ OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO
EXECUTE AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BY AND BETvlEEN THE
HONROE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY
CO~ll1ISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA TO PROVIDE
FOR A SUMMER PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN TO BE LOCATED AT
HARR.Y HARRIS PARK AND STANLEY SWITLIK ELEHENTARY
SCHOOL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COl1MISSIONERS OF HONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Mayor and Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute an Inter-
local Agreement by and between the Monroe County School Board and the
Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, a copy of
same being attached hereto, to provide for a summer program for child-
ren to be located at Harry Harris Park and Stanley Switlik Elementary
School.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of Honroe
County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the
12th day of July, A.D. 1982.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Monroe County School Board and the Board of
County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, desires to
make use of Harry Harris Park and Stanley Switlik Elementary
School in the summertime for a summer program for children
from the first grade through the sixth grade, and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County School Board has indicated its
interest and desires to participate in this plan by the use of
Harry Harris Park and the Stanley Switlik Elementary School,
now, therefore,
IT IS AGREED as follows:
1. That the Monroe County School Board will make available
the facilities known as the Harry Harris Park located in the
northern part of the County, and the Stanley Switlik Elementary
School located in the Greater Marathon area for the purpose of
a summer program for children from the first grade through the
sixth grade.
2. That in return for the availability of the Harry Harris
Park, the Monroe County School Board agrees to develop a program
for the summer use of said park and the participation therein of
the children in the public school system from the first throug~
the sixth grade located in the northern end of Monroe County

and the Greater Marathon area of Monroe County.
3. That for the purpose of funding said program the Monroe
County Commission does make available and appropriate Seven
Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00) for the Harry Harris
Park Program and Five Thousand, Four Hunar'ed'SeventyOne~po1lars
and Twenty Cents ($5,471.20) for the Greater Marathon Program.
4. That any and all equipment and material purchased with
these funds will be stored at Plantation Key Elementary Schoo1/
Stanley Switlik Elementary School for use in subsequent recrea-
tional programs.
5. That this program is a pilot program in nature and
will be for a term from June 21, 1982 through July 23, 1982 for
the Harry Harris Park Program and from July 5, 1982 through
August 6, 1982 for the Greater Marathon Program.

6. That the Monroe County School Board does agree to
make available for this program, summer personnel who will
supervise the same and also the use of its resources and
equipment in the area in the schools located in the northern
part of Key Largo as is needed. That the resources and
equipment for the program shall mainly consist of transporta-
tion and also the qualified people required and needed for a
program of this sort.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, by and through the Mayor and the
Clerk thereof together with the Superintendent of th~ Public
Schools of Monroe County and the Chairman of the Board thereof
have affixed their names and seals hereto this
