COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO
EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF THE
ARMY LICENSE NO. DACAOl-3-80-2 KEY WEST DEFENSE AREA
SITE NO. KW-65 AND FIELD TRAINING AREA MILITARY RE-
SERVATION, FLORIDA BY AND BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES
DEPARTMENT OF THE ARl1Y AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COM-
MISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COm~TY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Mayor and Chairman of the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute
Amendment No. 2 to the Department of the Army License No. DACAOl-3-80-2
Key West Defense Area Site No. KW-65 and Field Training Area Military
Reservation, Florida by and between the United States Department of
the Army and the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, a copy of same being attached hereto.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 26th day of July, A.D. 1982.

Area Military Reservation, Florida
WHEREAS, by authority of the Secretary of the Army, the Board of County
Commissioners, Monroe County, Florida, was granted Department of the Army
License DACAOl-3-80-2, dated 20 August 1980, for a term of one (1) year
beginning 1 June 1980 and ending 31 May 1981, but revocable at will by the
Secretary of the Army, to occupy and use a parcel of land comprising approxi-
mately 5.34 acres in the southeast corner of Tract C of the Key West Defense
Area Site No. KW-65 and Field Training Area Military Reservation, Island of
Key West, Monroe County, Florida, as more particularly described in the said
license and shown on the exhibits attached thereto, for the purpose of airport
safety; and
WHEREAS, by Amendment No.1, dated 16 June 1981, the term of the said
license was extended to 31 May 1982, subject to the transfer of the licensed
property to the Department of the Navy; and
WHEREAS, the licensee has a requirement for continued use of the licensed
property, which is available, and it is mutually desired by the parties to the
said license to further extend the term thereof to 31 May 1983, subject to
transfer of the licensed property to the Department of the Navy.
NOW THEREFORE, effective as of 1 June 1982, Department of the Army License
DACAOl-3-80-2 is hereby amended to extend the term thereof to 31 May 1983.
Except as herein provided, all other terms and conditions of the said
license shall remain unchanged.
This amendment is not subject to Title 10, United States Code, Section 2662.

Reference is made to Department of the Army License DACAOl-3-80-2 which grants
the use of approximately 5.34 acres of land for airport safety purposes at Key
~.lest Defense Area Site KW-65 and Field Training Area jfjilitary Reservation,
Florida. That license expired 31 May 1982, but can be renewed if you wish.
Inclosed for consideration is Amendment No.2 to said license, whi~h extends the
term for one additional year to 31 May 1983, subject to licensed property being
transferred to Department of the Navy.
The amendment is provided in an original and one copy. If it is acceptable, they
should be signed by the appropriate representative(s) of the Board of County
Commissioners and returned to this office. A fully signed copy will be provided
for County purposes after signature on behalf of the Government.
As indicated in our letter of 25 August 1980, the entire property has been identi-
fied for transfer to the Department of the Navy. That transfer may soon be accom-
plished, in which case the Navy will be informed of the license to your county and
requested to coordinate with you regarding continued use of the property.
