RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEED TO MONROE COUNTY FROM
ELIZABETH CAPPELL CONVEYING A PARCEL OF LAND TO
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA AS A DEDICATED ROADWAY
PROVIDING ACCESS TO ISLAMORADA COUNTY BEACH.
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Cappell desires to convey that certain
parcel of land described as:
A parcel of land on Upper Matecumbe Key,
Monroe County, Florida, said parcel being a
portion of Lot 1 of a Plat of Survey by
George L. MacDonald recorded in Plat Book 1,
at Page 41 of the Public Records of Monroe
County, Florida, said parcel being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the
Northwesterly Right-of-Way Line of State Road
Number 5, (U. S. Highway No.1), with the
Northeasterly Line of the said Lot 1, the
same being the Southwesterly line of the
Monroe County Board of Public Instruction
Property, run N 430 22' 13" W for 250.00
feet; thence run S 460 09' 32" W for 10.00
feet; thence run S 430 22' 13" E for 250.00
feet to the said Northwesterly Right-of-Way
Line; thence run N 460 09' 32" E along said
Northwesterly Right-of-Way Line for 10.00
feet to the Point of Beginning of the
hereindescribed parcel of land.
Bearings hereinmentioend are Plane Coordi-
nate, Florida East Zone and are based on ties
to Florida Department of Transportation
Second Order Traverse Stations 90-75-A04 and
90-75-A05.
to Monroe County, Florida, to be used as a dedicated roadway to
Islamorada County Beach, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, is desirous of accepting said parcel of land under the
terms and conditions contained in said deed, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That said Board hereby accepts the deed conveying to
Monroe County the above described parcel of land by Elizabeth
Cappell with heartfelt gratitude for Mrs. Cappell's generosity.
2. That the Clerk of this Board is hereby instructed to
forward a certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Cappello
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 16th day of December, A.D. 1983.
