A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 1HE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND SUBMIT AN
APPLICATION FOR U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOP-
MENT SMALL CITIES catfUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR
ASSISTANCE IN 1HE IHPLE-1ENTATION OF 1HE COUNTY OF M)NROE' S
COt><<UNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM TARGET AJ3EA.
WHEREAS, the County Commission of the County of Monroe, Florida,
recognizes the urgent need for federal assistance in the implementation of
its proposed Community Development Program, and
WHEREAS, an official of the County of fvIonroe, Florida, must be
authorized to submit applications to the u.s. Department of Housing and
Urban Development, administered by the State of Florida Department of
Corrnnunity Affairs (DCA), now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Hayor of the County of Monroe, Florida, as
the Chief Elected Official as required by the DCA is hereby authorized to
execute and submit an application to the DCA for a Small Cities Regular
Program for a $750,000 project for the County's designated Community
Development Target Area.
This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its passage
and adoption and authentication by the signatures of the presiding officer
and the Clerk of theCorrnnission.
Passed and adopted by the County Commission at a meeting held this
19th day of December, 1983.
