A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FY93 COMMUNITY
SERVICES BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM TO PROVIDE FOR A
TEACHER'S AIDE AT THE GRACE JONES DAY CARE CENTER
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 024-1993, the Monroe County
Board of Commissioners authorized the submission of a grant
application for the FY93 Local Government shar~Cycle~whi~h
funds projects through the Department of Commu~t~ Af~ir$~
Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) for acti~i~s ~ 0

WHEREAS, the Grace Jones Community center~~ovid~
affordable and educational day care service to~t~e ~
low-income sector of the Marathon community; a~~ ~

WHEREAS, the CSBG funds available to Monroe County
total $3037.00 with a 20% match requirement and the grant
period is April 1, 1993, through September 30, 1993; and

WHEREAS, this grant provides funds for the continuation
of a teacher's aide position in order to meet the Department
of Health and Rehabilitative Services staff-per-child ratio
for children between the ages of 12-24 months; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor of the Board of
County Commissioners is hereby authorized to execute an
agreement with the Department of Community Affairs Community
Service Block Grant program to assist the Grace Jones Day
Care Center and that the Board authorizes the County
Administrator with signature authority on the required
fiscal reports.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said
Board held on the 24th day of March, A.D. 1993.
