RESOLUTION NO.145 -1983
RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 AMENDING THE
CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND
FRANK KEEVAN & SONS, INC. BY GRANTING AN EXTENSION
OF 120 DAYS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT - PAVING, GRADING
AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS ON CROSS STREET, STOCK IS-
LAND, MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, previously entered into a con-
tract by and between Monroe County, Florida, and Frank Keevan &
Sons, Inc. for paving, grading and drainage improvements on Cross
Street, Stock Island, Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, after the contract letting and during construction it
was determined to be in the best interest of the County to grant an
extension of 120 days in which to complete this project because of
the activity of other contractors in installing new water and sewer
lines, and
WHEREAS, Frank Keevan & Sons, Inc. has issued Change Order No.1
to cover the above described extension of time and submitted said
Change Order to the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, for its approval, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That said Board of County Commissioners hereby approves
Change Order No. 1 to that certain contract entered into by and be-
tween Monroe County, Florida, and Frank Keevan & Sons, Inc. for the
paving, grading and drainage improvements on Cross Street, Stock
Island, Monroe County, FLorida.
2. That said Board also approves and authorizes the adjustment
to be made in the Contract Price and Time as contained in said Change
Order No.1.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on
the 27th day of May, A.D. 1983.

Nature of the Change:
Because of the activity of other contractors, in installing new water and sewer
lines as well as Jacking and Boring under U.S. #1, the contractor has been delayed
in finishing that portion of his contract which calls for the grading and paving
of Cross Street and has requested an extension of 120 days to complete the project.
We concur with his request for extension of time, and recommend approval. No
additional monies are required as a result of this change.
The changes result in the following adjustment of Contract Price and Time:
