RESOLUTION NO.098 -1983
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING APRIL 22 & 23 AS
THE "CONCH REPUBLIC" ANNIVERSARY.
WHEREAS, on April 22 & April 23, 1982 the "Conch Republic"
was born, and
WHEREAS, this event should be remembered and preserved by
the recognition of the anniversary of the same, and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Commission does desire to properly
recognize the same, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE COUNTY COMMISSION OF
MONROE COUNTY, that:
1. April 22 & April 23, 1983 be designated as "Conch Republic"
Anniversary and all "Conch" and other residents of Monroe County are
respectfully requested to not only remember said anniversary, but
to celebrate the same.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners at a
regular meeting held on the 15th day of April, A.D. 1983.
