RESOLUTION NO. 113 -1983
RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 AMENDING THE
CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN GENERAL ASPHALT COMPANY AND
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, BY PROVIDING FOR THE PAVING
OF AN UNNAMED STREET IN OCEANA SUBDIVISION, AND A
PORTION OF A STREET KNOWN AS DE LEON STREET IN OCEAN
VIEW SUBDIVISION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PAVING OF
OLD STATE ROAD 4A - "OLD BUMPY".
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, previously entered into a
contract with General Asphalt Company for the resurfacing of Old
State Road 4A - "Old Bumpy" located in Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, after the contract letting and during construction it
was determined to be in the best interest of the County if the paving
of an unnamed street in Oceana Subdivision and a portion of a street
known as De Leon Street in Ocean View Subdivision were done in con-
junction with the paving of Old State Road 4A - "Old Bumpy", and
WHEREAS, General Asphalt Company has issued Change Order No.1
to cover the above described additional work and submitted said
Change Order to the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, for its approval, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That said Board of County Commissioners hereby approves
Change Order No. 1 to that certain contract entered into by and
between General Asphalt Company and Monroe County, Florida, for
the resurfacing of Old State Road 4A - "Old Bumpy" by providing for
the paving of an unnamed street in Oceana Subdivision and a portion
of a street known as De Leon Street in Ocean View Subdivision in
conjunction with the resurfacing of "Old Bumpy".
2. That said Board also approves and authorizes the adjustment
to be made in the Contract Price and Time as contained in said
Change Order NO. 1
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on
the 15th day of April, A.D. 1983.

Nature of the Change: Over~ay in the same manner prescribed the basic contract.
(1) De Leon St., a street between U.S.#l and Old State Road 04A a distance of
approximately 217 lineal feet, said street is located by the local landmark,
between the Post Office and 1st Federal Savings and Loan Building. '
(2) An unnamed street Ocean a Subdivision between U.S.#l and Old State Road
04A, a distance of approximately 213 lineal feet, said street is located
by local landmark, between the Four Winds, and Mission Building. ~
Payment to be based on the contract price of $5.50 per lineal foot as
measured after paving with a maximum amount of $2,500.00
The changes result in the following adjustment of Contract Price and Time:
