A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 13
THROUGH THE 19, 1983 AS BIG BROTHERS AND BIG
SISTERS WEEK.
WHEREAS, throughout the Nation, February 13-19, 1983 is being
designated by the various government entities as Big Brothers and
Big Sisters Week of America, and
WHEREAS, it 1S proper and fitting that a designation for
Monroe County be declared by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County for Big Brothers and Big Sisters Week, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County
recognize that the undertakings and efforts of Big Brothers and
Big Sisters throughout the nation have had a salutary effect on
the youth of this country, all for the good, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA that
1. The week of February 13-19, 1983 be and it 1S declared as
Big Brothers and Big Sisters Week throughout Monroe County.
2. That the citizens of Monroe County are called upon to aid
and help in the celebration of this week for this purpose by
indicating their support of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters movement
throughout Monroe County.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 4th
day of
