RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR...lI1AN OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO
EXECUTE A SIGN LEASE BY AND BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF
MONROE, STATE OF FLORIDA, AND THE REEF FOR SIGN
SPACE AT THE KEY WEST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Mayor and Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute a Sign
Lease by and between the County of Monroe, State of Florida, and
The Reef, a copy of same being attached hereto, for sign space at
the Key West International Airport.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on
the 4th day of March, A.D. 1983.

SIGN LEASE
THIS LEASE rnade and entered into on the
4th
:day of
March
, 1983, by and between the COUNTY Of MONROE,
STATE OF FLORIDA, a political subdivision of the State of Florida,
hereinafter referred to as Lessor, and THE REEF, whose principal
business address is P.O. Box 871, Marathon, Florida. 3'3050, herein-
after referred to as Lessee:
IN CONSIDERATION of the rnutual covenants, promises ~nd
prernises herein contained, the parties hereto agree as follows:
Section 1. Description of Prernises and Use. Lessor hereby
1eases to Lessee and Lessee hires from Lessor for the purpose of
installing one (1) sign as hereinafter described at the Key West
Intcrnational Airport owned and-operated by the COUNTY OF MONROE

in location C-3, as shown on the attached sketch which IS attached
hereto and rnade a part hereof.
Section 2. Terrn of Lease. This lease shall begin on the
1st day of February, 1983 and shall end on the 30th day of
Septernber, 1983.
Section 3. Rent. The Lessee shall pay to the Lessor the
total rent for the terrn of this lease Four Hundred Eighty Dollars
{$480.00), in lawful money of the United States of Arnerica plus
any sales tax in advance upon execution of this lease. If Lessee
terrninates this lease prior to the end of the terrn hereof, Lessee
shall not receive any refund.
Section 4. Sign. The Lessee IS hereby granted the right
to install one (1) sign, two fe'et high by three fee't~ide, (2' x 3'),

Lessor a detailed drawing of the sIgn setting forth all wording

to be placed on the sign including material to be use~ in the
construction thereof, colors, and any othcr rnattcr relating thereto
for approval by the Lessor prior to installation or sarne. The
sign shall be ~onstructed in a professional rnanner ~nd installed
at the location designated herein in accordance with the instruction

Section 5. Maintenance. The Lessee shall rnai~tain the
slgn in good order at all tirnes during the terrn of this lease
and if Lessee fails to do so, Lessor shall glve Le~~ee ten (10)
days notice of this failure to cornply and upon Lesse~'~'failure
to comply in rnaintaining said sign, Lessee does hereby give, grant,
and authorize the Lessor to rernove said sign at Lessee's expense.

Section 6. Waste and Nuisance Prohibited. Lessee shall
not commit or suffer to be cornmitted any waste in the dernised
prernises or any nUlsance.
Section 7. Taxes. Lessee shall pay, before d'E?linquent, all
personal property taxes assessed against said signs.
Section 8. Termination and Repairs. Lessee shall at the
termination of this lease rernove any slgn installed hereunder
immediately upon terrnination and shall repair any daillage caused by
said rernoval. If Lessee does hereby give, grant, and authorize
the Lessor the right to rernove said sign in behalf of Lessee at
Lessee's expense.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused these
presents to be executed, all as of the day and year first above
written.
