RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO
EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO LEASE BY AND BETWEEN THE
COUNTY OF MONROE, STATE OF FLORIDA, AND THE LOWER
KEYS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. INC.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute an Amendment
to Lease by and between the County of Monroe, State of Florida, and
the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce, a copy of same being attached
hereto.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 7th day of April, 1981.

WIIEREAS, the COUNTY OF MONROE, STATE OF FLORIDA, a
political subdi-vi.sion oC the State of Florida, has leased
certain lands lying in Ll part of Government Lot 1, Section
25, Township 66 South, Range 29 East on Big Pine Key, Monroe
County, Florida, with the LOWER KEYS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE,
INC., a non-profit corporation organized and existing under
the laws of the State of Florida, dated the 19th day of
September, 1978, which said lease was for a term of twenty-
five (25) years (copy of which is attached hereto and made a
Dart her(;of), and
WHEREAS, the City Electric System has requested access
across part of said property, and the LOWER KEYS CHAMBER OF
CO1MERCE, INC., is willing to release Dart of said land, now,
therefore,
WITNESSETH, that the, LOWER KEYS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INC.,
a non-profit corporation organized and existing under the laws
of the State of Florida, Lessee, and the COUNTY OF MONROE,
STATE OF FLORIDA, a political subdivision of the State of
Florida, Lessor, hereby agrees as follows:
1. That the Lessee does hereby release and return to
the Lessor the following described premises:
The Westernmost strip of land fronting
on U. S. Highway No. 1 measuring fifty
feet (SO') wide and running the full
length of the Chamber's property to
a depth of 207.64 feet.
2. Lessor does lease the following additional premises in
exhange for the release of the above described premises:
A part of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 25, Township 66 South, Range
29 East, on Big Pine Key, Monroe County, Florida
and being more particularly described by metes
and bounds as follows:

COM-IME.NCING at the Northwest Corner of the
Northwest quarter of the Southwest Quarter
OF SCCtion 25, bear Fast 50 feet to the
POINT OF BE--GINNIN(1 of the parcel hereinafter
described; thence South, 90 Feet; thence
East, 150 foot; thence North, 90 feet; thence
lVest, 150 feet, back to the POINT OF BEGIN-
NTNG, containing 0.31 acres.
SIJB,TI:CT to casements, restrictions and limita-
tions of record, if any, and taxes for the
year 1980 and subsequent years.
3. That all other terms and conditions of said lease
shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Lessee has caused these presents
to be signed in its name by- the President'and attested to by
the Secretary of the I,01,TER KEYS. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INC.,
and the Lessor has caused these presents to be signed in its
name by its Chairman and its seal to be affixed by the Clerk
of the Circuit Court of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit of
Florida, in and for Monroe County, Florida, and -ex officio
Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
