Resolution 113-1981 RESOLUTION 113 - 1981 WHEREAS IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO ESTABLISH THE REDISTRICTING OF MONROE COUNTY FOLLOWING THE DECENNIAL CENSUS. THIS RESPONSIBILITY IS DESIGNED TO ADDRESS THAT RESPONSIBILITY UNDER LAW. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is hereby authorized to direct the County Administrator and any committee the Chairman may choose to assist in providing a plan, within 60 days, for redistricting of Monroe County into five (5) districts. Article VII, section l(e) of the Florida Constitution directs the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County to re-divide the County into five (5) districts of contiguous boundries as per Florida Law. Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 7th day of April, 1981.
