RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA
TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE MONROE
COUNTY STATE ATTORNEY AND THE COUNTY OF MONROE, STATE
OF FLORIDA, FOR PROVIDING AN ASSISTANT STATE ATTORNEY
TO PROSECUTE VIOLATIONS OF THE SPECIAL LAWS AND ORDI-
NANCES OF THE COUNTY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement
by and between the Monroe County State Attorney and the County of
Monroe, State of Florida, a copy of same being attached hereto,
for providing an Assistant State Attorney to prosecute violations
of the Special Laws and Ordinances of the County.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 7th day of April, A.D. 1981.

THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this

referred to as "State Attorney" and the County of Monroe, State of

WITNESSETH:
WHERE -AS, the State Attorney has offered to provide the services
c,f .a Special Assistant State Attorney to.prosecute violations of
Special Laws and Ordinances'of the County, and
WHEREAS, the County did provide funding in its budget for 1980-8-1
in the amount not to exceed $11,250.00 for the purpose of providing
tor a Special Assistant State Attorney, now, therefore,
IN CONSIDERATION of th-e mutual promises, covenants and conditions
h.-rein contained, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. That the State Attorney shall appoint a Special Assistant
1-'tate Attorney whose sole function shall be to prosecute v:Lolations
of the Special Laws and Ordinances of the County in accordance with
Florida Law -.. S. .27.34.
2. That the County agrees to appropriate for the salary of
raid Special Assistant State Attorney for the period from January 1,
,:81 to Septeidber 30, 1981, the sum of Eleven Thousand Two Hundred

3. That upon receipt of monthly or bi-monthly invoices, the
County shall make payment directly to the Special Assistant State
Attorney appointed and designated -by the "State'%Attorney". Further,

It is mutually agreed by both parties that this Agreement ��an
be terminated at any time upon giving of thirty (30) days written
