RESOLUTION NO.20l-l981
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION STATE OF FLORIDA TO PER-
FORM BRIDGE INSPECTIONS AT THE EARLIEST
POSSIBLE DATE.
WHEREAS, the bridges in and for Monroe County have not
been inspected for a considerable period of time, and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida is changed with certain
responsibilities in assuring the Public safety and welfare in
the operation of the roads and bridges throughout the State of
Florida, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That the Board does hereby request the Department of
Transportation State of Florida to initiate action immediately
such that bridge inspections can be completed at the earliest
possible date.
2. That Monroe County would request that the Department
of Transportation State of Florida advise Monroe County at the
earliest possible date as to when inspections can initiated
and completed.
3. That the Clerk of said Board is hereby directed to
forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Department
of Transportation State of Florida.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board
held on the 14th day of July, 1981.
