RESOLUTION NO. 244-1981
RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE FLORIDA KEYS RESOURCE
PLANNING AND MANAGEHEnT COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Florida has appointed
a Florida Keys Resource Planning and Management Committee to
re-examine the designation of Monroe County as an Area of Critical
Concern, and
\VHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of this Com-
mission that some of the appointees to this Committee are City
or County Employees and said Board feels it may be difficult for
said appointees to render a completely unbiased and objective
report, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMt1ISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That the County Attorney is hereby directed to write the
Governor of the State of Florida concerning the appointment of
City and County employees to the Florida Keys Resource Planning
and Management Committee and to assure the Governor that the Com-
mission's only objective is to assure the rendering of a completely
unbiased and objective report on the designation of Monroe County,
as an Area of Critical Concern.
Pased and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
t10nroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 11th day of August, 1981.
