RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIr~N OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF
MONROE, STATE OF FLORIDA, AND THE OFFICE OF THE
MONROE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO~ll1ISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute a Contract
by and between the County of Monroe, State of Florida, and the
Office of the Monroe County Tax Collector, a copy of same being
attached hereto.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 19th day of October, A.D. 1981.

CONTRACT
THIS AGREEMENT made entered into this day of
, A.p. 198{, by and between the COUNTY OF
MONROE, STATE OF FLORIDA, and the OFFICE OF THE MONROE COUNTY TAX
COLLECTOR.
The parties mutually agree as follows:
1. That the Office of the Monroe County Tax Collector shall
fulfill the collection duties required by the Monroe County Code of
Ordinances, Chapter 8, Article II, as amended, with reference to the
collection of the special assessment for garbage and trash collection
and furnish the employees necessary to collect said assessment, and
furnish such information as to said collections as is necessary for
recordation of claims of liens and delinquent accounts, to include:
a. Update addresses and owners. Through use of the
Monroe County Property Appraiser's computer printing for 1982, gar-
bage collector billing roll. If Property Appraiser does not prin~
1982 roll, then a manual update will be required which will be the
subject matter of additional negotiation.
b. Prepare Reminders.
c. Prepare Lien List.
d. Prepare Newspaper List.
e. Prepare Errors & Insolvencies List.
f. Post roll - paid items.
g. Post corrections to roll - additions and
deletions; addresses.
h. Process complaints - field check.
i. Answer correspondence.
j. Collect money and deposit to MSD.
2. That the County agrees to pay to the Office of the Tax
COllector a total sum of $51,000.00 to cover the cost of said ser-
vice, said sum to be paid in four (4) equal quarterly installments.
This Agreement is for the period of October 1, 1981, through
September 30, 1982.
