RESOLUTION NO. 326-1981
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY CO~~ISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF KEY
WEST, FLORIDA, AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement
by and between the City of Key West, Florida, and the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, a copy of same being at-
tached hereto, to provide full-time ambulance service to the residents
of Municipal Service Tax District I-A.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on
the 3rd day of November, A.D. 1981.

"Ci ty" and the Board of County Commissioners of jl,Ionroe County,
Florida, herein referred to as "County".
WHEREAS, the City currently provides ambulance service to City
residents through a contractor; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to provide full-time ambulance
service to the residents of Municipal Service Tax District lA
("[,1ST]) lA"), including Advanced Life Support; and
WHEREAS, City and County desire to cooperate to Increase the
level of ambulance service to the residents of Key West and adja-
cent areas in MSTD lA; now, therefore,
In consideration of the premises and of the mutual convenants
contained, the parties agree as follows:
1. That City shall pay its full-time ambulance contractor and
shall cause said cont/actor to provide emergency and non-emergency
ambulance service to the residents of MSTD lA, as IS provided
to residents of Key West, including Advanced Life Support.
7 That County shall pay to City the sum of $24,000.00 for
the Fiscal Year 1981-82, for the said ambulance service to include
Advanced Life Support,. The salary of the Medical Director, including
errors and omissions insurance for the Director for Advanced Life
Support, shall be included in the said sum to be paiel by County.
3. City shall account to County for the application of these
funds to the provision of ambulance services to the residents of

The term of this Contract shall be twelve (12) months and the
parties shall cooperate in good faith to carry out its intent.
