Resolution 327-1981 RESOLUTION 32:7-1981 , 'I. ..' WHEREAS, the Governor of Florida and the President of the United States of America have proclaimed Wednesday, November 11, 1981 as Veterans Day for the State of Florida and the Untted States of America, and WHEREAS, the people of Monroe County have in their midst a great many retired Veterans of World War II and the Korean War, and WHEREAS, it is also the desire of the Board of County Commissioners to recognize the Veterans of the Vietnam War with the same dignity and reverence as all Veteransj and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is desirous of resolving special recognition for all Veterans residing in our County, and WHEREAS, it is with a great deal of emotion that we, the representatives of the people of Monroe County, express our gratitude to the Veterans of the three wars above stated, NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, its Mayor, George E. Dolezal, and each individual member who has his name affixed to this Resolution, do especially honor our Veterans on November II, 1981 and spread this Resolution of record on the annals of Monroe County for now and for evermore.
