RESOLUTION NO. 343-1981
RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 104-1978
AND PROVIDING FOR LANDING FEES FOR THE USE OF
THE VARIOUS COUNTY AIRPORTS.

WHEREAS, purusant to Florida Statutes Chapter 125 and
Chapter 332, the County has authorization to operate airports
within said County and collect from the owner and/or operator
of each and every aircraft using such airports a fee or service
charge for use of said airports excepting therefrom privately
owned aircraft, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF HONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That a landing fee assessment is hereby established at
all airports in Monroe County for all charter and non-scheduled
aircraft which includes air taxis and all commercial users who
do not have specific agreements and/or contracts with the County
as follows:
(a) $0.40 per 1,000 pounds certified gross
landing weight or a minimum fee of
$5.00 per landing for gross landing
weight less than 12,500 pounds. It being
understood that $0.40 shall apply for any
and all weights over and above 12,500
pounds.
2. The above rates shall not be charged, however, for train-
ing flights when approved by the Airport Director/Manager.
3. That Monroe County shall have a lien upon all aircraft
landing upon any airport owned and/or operated by the County in
accordance with Florida Statutes 125.021 as amended for all fees,
charges or assessments.
4. That the Airport Director/Manager is hereby empowered
specifically by this resolution to adjust and change by a direc-
tive issued to all those who are effected, changes in said fee or
charges as set forth in paragraph 1 in accordance with the stand-
ards and practices of the aviation industry.
5. That any and all commercially scheduled airlines shall
be subject to fees to be negotiated and inserted as part of said
franchise or contract with said scheduled airline.

6. That a copy of this resolution shall be posted by the
Clerk at the Monroe County Courthouse and at each County operated
airport for four (4) consecutive weeks.
7. That Resolution No. 104-1978 is hereby rescinded.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 17th day of November, A.D.198l.
