Resolution 043-1961 RESOLUTION NO. 4.3 -1961 WHEREAS, the State Road Department of the State of Florida needs additional right-of-way on U. S. Highway #1, Long Key, Monroe County, Florida, and WHEREAS, said State Road Department has an excess of right-of- way on Windley Key, Monroe County, Florida, and WHEREAS, said State Road Department is willing to exchange a parcel of land 50' x 3501 on Windley Key, Monroe County, Florida, for a parcel of land 50' x 3501 on Long Key, Monroe County, Florida, said land being owned by the County of Monroe, State of Florida, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the following described land, situate on Long Key, Monroe County, Florida, to-wit: Commencing at the intersection of the North R/W line of U. S. Highway No.1, as existing May 8, 1961, and the Section line common to Sections 7 & 8, T, 65 S" R, 35 E. , Tallahassee Meridian, Long Key, Monroe County, Florida, o the POINT OF BEGINNING: Thence N. 69 OS' E, along said R /W line, 350 feet; thence Northerly and at a right angle, 50 feet; thence S. 690 OS' W. to said Section line; thence South along said Section line to the Point of Beginning; containing 0.40 acres, more or less, It being intended to describe a strip of land 50 feet wide, contiguous with and parallel to the Northerly R/W line of U. S. Highway No. 1, be exchanged for the following described land, situate on Windley Key, Monroe County, Florida, to -wit: A tract of land in Section 23, Twp, 63 S., Rge, 37 E" on Windley Key, Monroe Co., Fla., more particularly de- scribed as follows: Beginning at the inter section of the North- westerly prolongation of the dividing line between Lots 6 & 7 as shown on "Plat of that Land of Government Lots 1, 2 & 3 of Section 23, Township 63 South of Range 37 East, Being South of the Right of Way of the Fla. East Coast Railwayll re- corded in Plat Book 1, Page 50, Public Records of Monroe Co" Fla, , with the Northwe sterl y right of way line of State Road No,S, formerly F. E. C. Railway, and run Southwesterly along said right of way line and on the arc of a curve to the left which has a radius of 2914.93 ft., a distance of 350 feet; thence Southeasterly along a line radial to said curve, a distance of 50 feet; thence Northeasterly along the arc of a curve to the right which has a radius of 2864.93 feet and concentric with first described curve, a distance of 340 feet, more or less; thence Northwesterly on a line radial to both above described curves, a distance of 50 feet to the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that Deeds be exchanged between the County of Monroe, State of Florida and the State Road Department to effect the exchange as contemplated herein, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said Board be, and he is hereby directed to forward certified copies of this Resolution to the State Road Department for appropriate action.
