WHEREAS, it is considered necessary and expedient to alter t~:-, W

present Election Districts in Monroe County, Florida, and to create new
Election Districts in Monroe County, Florida, and establish therein voting
precincts, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COM.MISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Election Districts and precincts
of Monroe County shall be and they are hereby established as follows:
ELECTION DISTRICT NO. 1 shall include two (2) precincts, to-wit,
Precincts Nos. land 2, as follows:
Precinct No. 1 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of White
Street and the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and running thence in a North-
westerly direction along the center line of White Street to where it intersects
the center line of Flagler Avenue; thence at right angles in an Easterly di-
rection along the center line of Flagler Avenue projected to the waters of
Cow Key Channel.
The polling place in Precinct No. 1 shall be the Key West High School,
Flagler Avenue, in the City of Key West, Florida.
Precinct No. 2 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Reynolds
Street and the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and running thence in a North-
westerly direction along the center line of Reynolds Street to where it inter-
sects the center line of United Street; thence at right angles in an Easterly
direction along the center line of United Street to where it inter sects the
center line of Packer Street; thence at right angles in a Northwesterly di-
rection along the center line of Packer Street to where it intersects the center
line of Catherine Street; thence at right angles in an Easterly direction along
the center line of Catherine Street to where it intersects the center line of

Florida Street; thence at right angles in a Southwesterly direction along the
center line of Florida Street to where it intersects the center line of United
Street; thence at right angles in a Westerly direction along the center line
of United Street to where it inter sects the center line of Tropical Street;
thence at right angles in a Southwesterly direction along the center line of
Tropical Street to where it intersects the center line of Flagler Avenue;
thence at right angles in a Westerly direction along the center line of Flag-
ler Avenue to where it intersects the center line of White Street; thence at
right angles in a Southwe sterly direction along the center line of White
Street to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
The polling place in Precinct No. 2 shall be the Memorial Junior
High School, White and United Streets, in the City of Key West, Florida.
Said Election District No. 1 is co -terminus with County Commission-
erst District No. 1.
ELECTION DISTRICT NO.2 shall include four (4) precincts, to-wit,
Precincts Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6, as follo'M's:
Precinct No. 3 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Truman
Avenue projected to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and running thence in
an Easterly direction along the center line of Truman Avenue to where it in-
tersects the center line of Simonton Street; thence at right angles in a South-
westerly direction along the center line of Simonton Street to where it inter-
sects the center line of South Street; thence at right angle s in a Westerly
direction along the center line of South Street to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
The polling place in l?recinct No. 3 shall be the NCCS, 1021 Duval
Street, in the City of Key West, Florida.
Precinct No. 4 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Gommencing at the intersection of the center line of Truman
Avenue projected to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and running thence in
an Easterly direction along the center line of Truman Avenue to where it

intersects the center line of Simonton Street; thence at right angles in a
Northwesterly direction along the center line of Simonton Street to where
it intersects the center line of Angela Street; thence at right angles in a
Westerly direction along the center line of Angela Street projected to the
waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
The polling place in Precinct No.4 shall be in the rear of the Cave
Inn Bar, on Petronia Street, in the City of Key West, Florida.
Precinct No. 5 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Angela
Street projected to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and running thence in
an Easterly direction along the center line of Angela Street to where it in-
tersects the center line of Duval Street; thence at right angles in a North-
westerly direction along the center line of Duval Street projected to the
waters of the harbor.
The polling place in Precinct No. 5 shall be the Monroe County Court
House on Whitehead Street in the City of Key West, Florida.
Precinct No. 6 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Duval
Street projected to the waters of the harbor and running thence in a South-
westerly direction along the center line of Duval Street to where it intersects
the center line of Angela Street; thence at right angles in an Easterly direction
along the center line of Angela Street to where it intersects the center line of
Simonton Street; thence at right angles in a Northwesterly direction along
the center line of Simonton Street to where it intersects the center line of
Fleming Street; thence at right angles in a Westerly direction along the cen-
ter line of Fleming Street to where it intersects the center line of William
Street; thence at right angles in a Northwesterly direction along the center
line of William Street projected to the water s of the harbor.
The polling place in Precinct No. 6 shall be the City Hall on Greene
Street in the City of Key West, Florida.

Said Election District No.2 is co-terminus with County Commission-
er s l District No.2.
ELECTION DISTRICT NO. 3 shall include five (5} precincts, to-wit,
Precincts Nos. 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, as follows:
Precinct No. 7 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of William
Street projected to the waters of the harbor and running thence in a South-
westerly direction along the center line of William Street to where it inter-
sects the center line of Fleming Street; thence at right angle s in an Easterly
direction along the center line of Fleming Street projected to the waters
of the Gulf.
The polling place in Precinct No. 7 shall be Porter Place in the
City of Key West, Florida.
Precinct No. 8 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of1he center line of Fleming
Street projected to the waters of the Gulf and running thence in a Westerly
direction along the center line of Fleming Street to where it intersects the
center line of Simonton Street; thence at right angles in a Southwesterly di-
rection along the center line of Simonton Street to where it intersects the
center line of Angela Street; thence at right angles in an Easterly direction
along the center line of Angela Street to where it intersects the center line
of Windsor Lane; thence at right angles in a Southeasterly direction along the
center line of Windsor Lane to where it intersects the center line of Passover
Lane; thence at right angles in a Northeasterly direction along the center line
of Passover Lane to where it intersects the center line of Angela Street;
thence at right angles in an Easterly direction along the center line of An-
gela Street projected to the waters of the Gulf.
The polling place in Precinct No.8 shall be Dayls Corner, Grinnell
and Southard Streets in the City of Key West, Florida.
Precinct No. 9 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Angela Street

projected to the water s of the Gulf and running thence in an Easterly direc-
tion along the center line of Angela Street to where it intersects the center
line of White Street; thence at right angles in a Southwesterly direction
along the center line of White Street to where it intersects the center line
of Truman Avenue; thence at right angles in an Easterly direction along the
center line of Truman Avenue to where it intersects the center line of
Roosevelt Boulevard; thence in an Easterly direction along the center line
of Roosevelt Boulevard to where it intersects the center line of 13th Street;
thence at right angles in a Northwesterly direction along the center line of
13th Street projected to the waters of the Gulf.
The polling place in Precinct No. 9 shall be the Gomez Building in
the 1200 block of Simonton Street in the City of Key West, Florida.
Precinct No. 10 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center lines of Angela
and White Streets and running thence in a Southwesterly direction along the
center line of White Street to where it intersects the center line of Truman
Avenue; thence at right angles in a Westerly direction along the center line
of Truman Avenue to where it inter sects the center line of Simonton Street;
thence at right angles in a Northwesterly direction along the center line of
Simonton Street to where it intersects the center line of Angela Street;
thence at right angles in an Easterly direction along the center line of Angela
Street to where it intersects the center line of Windsor Lane; thence at right
angle s in a Southeasterly direction along the center line of Windsor Lane to
where it intersects the center line of Passover Lane; thence at right angles
in a Northeasterly direction along the center line of Passover Lane to where
it intersects the center line of Angela Street; thence at right angles in an
Easterly direction along the center line of Angela Street to where it intersects
the center line of White Street.
The polling place in Precinct No. 10 shall be the Busy Bee Bakery,
900 Francis Street in the City of Key West, Florida.

Precinct No. 11 shall comprise all t~ territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center lines of Truman
Avenue and Simonton Street and running thence in a Southwesterly direc-
tion along the center line of Simonton Street to where it intersects the
center line of South Street; thence at right angles in a Westerly direction
along the center line of South Street to where it inter sects the center line
of Whitehead Street; thence at right angle s in a Southwesterly direction
along the center line of Whitehead Street to the shoreline of the Atlantic
Ocean; thence meandering the shoreline in an Easterly direction to the
inters.ection of said shoreline and the center line of Reynolds Street; thence
at right angles in a Northwesterly direction along the center line of Rey-
nolds Street to where it intersects the center line of United Street; thence
at right angles in an Easterly direction along the center line of United
Street to where it intersects the center line of Packer Street; thence at
right angles in a Northwesterly direction along the center line of Packer
Street to where it intersects the center line of Catherine Street; thence at
right angles in an Easterly direction along the center line of Catherine Street
to where it intersects the center line of George Street; thence at right angles
in a Northwesterly direction along the center line of George Street to where
it intersects the center line of Roosevelt Boulevard; thence at right angles
in a Westerly direction along the center line of Roosevelt Boulevard to where
it intersects the center line of Truman Avenue; thence in a Westerly direc-
tion along the center line of Truman Avenue to where it intersects the cen-
ter line of Simonton Street.
The polling place in Precinct No. 11 shall be the 13 Fire Station on
Grinnell Street in the City of Key West, Florida.
Said Election District No. 3 is co -terminus with County Commission-
erst District No.3.
ELECTION DISTRICT NO.4 shall include five (5) precincts, to-wit,
Precincts Nos. 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16, as follows:

Precinct No. 12 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center lines of Roose-
velt Boulevard and First Street and running thence in a Southwesterly di-
rection along the center line of First Street to where it intersects the cen-
ter line of Flagler Avenue; thence at right angles in a Westerly direction
along the center line of Flagler Avenue to where it intersects the center
line of Tropical Street; thence at right angles in a Northwesterly direction
along the center line of Tropical Street to where it intersects the center
line of United Street; thence at right angles in an Easterly direction along
the center line of United Street to where it intersects the center line of
Florida Street; thence at right angles in a Northwesterly direction along the
center line of Florida Street to where it intersects the center line of Cath-
erine Street; thence at right angles in an Easterly direction along the center
line of Catherine Street to where it intersects the center line of George
Street; thence at right angles in a Northwesterly direction along the center
line of George Street to where it intersects the center line of Roosevelt
Boulevard; thence at right angles in an Easterly direction along the center
line of Roosevelt Boulevard to where it intersects the center line of First Street.
The polling place in Precinct No. 12 shall be May Sands Elementary
School, at the corner of United and Tropical Streets in the City of Key West,
Florida.
Precinct No. 13 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center lines of Roose-
velt Boulevard and First Street and running thence in an Easterly direction
along the center line of Roosevelt Boulevard to where it intersects the cen-
ter line of 13th Street; thence at right angles in a Southwesterly direction
along the center line of 13th Street to where it intersects the center line of
Flagler Avenue; thence at right angles in a Westerly direction along the cen-
ter line of Flagler Avenue to where it intersects the center line of First
Street; thence at right angles in a Northwesterly direction along the center

line of First Street to where it intersects the center line of Roosevelt
Boulevard.
The polling place in Precinct No. 13 shall be the Grace Lutheran
Church Annex on Flagler Avenue in the City of Key West, Florida.
Precinct No. 14 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of 13th
Street projected to the waters of the Gulf and running thence in a South-
westerly direction along the center line of 13th Street to where it inter-
sects the center line of Flagler Avenue; thence at right angles in an Easterly
direction along the center line of Flagler Avenue projected to the waters of
Cow Key Channel; AND that portion of Stock Island, Monroe County,
Florida, lying Northerly of U. S. Highway No.1.
The polling place in Precinct No. 14 shall be the Jaycee Club House
on Flagler Avenue in the City of Key West, Florida.
Precinct No. 15 shall comprise all the territory within the following
boundaries: That portion of Stock Island, Monroe County, Florida, lying
Southerly of U. S. Highway No.1; AND all of the Florida Keys lying North-
east of the Island of Key West, up to and including Sugarloaf Key.
The polling place in Precinct No. 15 shall be the First Baptist Church
Annex on Stock Island, Florida.
Precinct No. 16 shall include all the Florida Keys in Monroe County,
Florida lying North and East of Sugarloaf Key, up to and including No Name
Key and Big Pine Key.
The polling place in Precinct No. 16 shall be the Fire House at Big
Pine Key, Florida.
Said Election District No.4 is co-terminus with County Commission-
ers' District No.4.
ELECTION DISTRICT NO. 5 shall include four (4) precincts, to-wit,
Precincts Nos. 17, 18, 19 and 20, as follows:

Precinct No. 17 shall begin with Spanish Harbor Keys and include all
the Keys in Monroe County, Florida, North and ~ast from Spanish Harbor
Keys up to but not including Lower Matecumbe Key.
The polling place in Precinct No. 17 shall be the Chamber of Com-
merce Building in Marathon, Key Vaca, Florida.
Precinct No. 18 shall include all those Keys in Monroe County,
Florida, from Lower Matecumbe Key up to but not including Plantation Key.
The polling place in Precinct No. 18 shall be the old School Building
at Islamorada, Florida.
Precinct No. 19 shall include all those Keys in Monroe County, Florida
from Plantation Key to that part of Key Largo which is South of Dove Creek
on Key Largo, Monroe County, Florida.
The polling place in Precinct No. 19 shall be the Fire House at
Tavernier, Florida.
Precinct No. 20 shall include all that part of Key Largo North of
Dove Creek and all that area in Monroe County, Florida, situate upon the
mainland of the State of Florida.
The polling place in Precinct No. 20 shall be the Civic Club at Key
Largo, Florida.
Said Election District No. 5 is co-terminus with County Commission-
erst District No.5.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be recorded in the
Registry of Deeds in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the Six-
teenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, in and for Monroe County, and that same
be published in The Key West Citizen, a newspaper published in Monroe
County, Florida, once each week for four (4) weeks.
