RESOLUTION NO.
88 _ 1961
WHEREAS, the Honorable Spessard Holland, United States
Senator from Florida, has for many years devoted his efforts
and time towards extent ion of the inland waterway through the
Florida Keys to Key West, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the said Senator in cooperation with other
Florida Congressmen was successful in obtaining federal funds
for a waterway restudy of this project, and
WHEREAS, the Citizens of Monroe County, Florida desire
to express their appreciation and commendation for the said
Senator's efforts, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, That the Honorable Spessard Holland,
United States Senator from Florida, be and he is hereby
commended for his efforts toward the extention of the inland
waterway through the Florida Keys to Key West, Florida, and
that the Clerk of said Board be and he is hereby directed to
forward a certified copy of this resolution to said Senator
in appreciation for said service.
