RESOLUTION NO. 73 -1962
WHEREAS, Monroe County, State of Florida, is the portion of the
United States closest to the Republic of Cuba, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida and the citizens of said County realize the perils of the Cuban
situation, and feel that the people of Monroe County should evidence their
patriotism and love of flag and country by displaying the American flag,
not only during the present crisis, but at all times, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the people of Monroe County,
Florida be, and they are hereby urged to display the American flag at all
proper times, as evidence of their patriotism and love of flag and country,
