Resolution 022-1963RESOLUTION NO. 22 -1963 WHEREAS, certain lands in Lots 2 and 3, Block 4 of "STRATTON'S SUBDIVISION", as recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 38 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida; were deeded to Monroe County, Florida, through inadvertence, as the parties to said Deed were under the impres.- sion that said lands were .under water, and were part of a public waterway, and WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of Coun- ty Commissioners. of Monroe County, Florida, that the hereinafter de- scribed land was not under water, and was not intended to be conveyed as a public waterway, and the owners of said land have requested that said land be re -conveyed to them, and WHEREAS, said land is not accessible, and, is of no value to said County, as same cannot be used for any County purposes., now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FL.ORIDA, that the following described lands, to -wit: A tract of land in a part of Lots 2 and 3, Block 4 of "STRATTON'S SUBDIVISION", as recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 38 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida and being more particularly described by metes, and bounds as follows: Commencing at the Southeast Corner of Lot 2, bear south- wes.terly along the northerly right-of-way line of an un- named 50 foot street for a distance of 20 feet to a point; thence with a deflected angle to the right of 90 degrees, 28 minutes and 15 s.econds and in. a northwesterly direction for a distance of 81. 57 feet to the Point of Beginning of the tract of land hereinafter described; from said Point of Beginning, turn a deflected angle to the right of 78 degrees, 41 minutes and 24 seconds from the preceding course and in a north- easterly direction for a distance of 56. 21 feet to a point; thence with a deflected angle to the left of 42 degrees and 05 minutes and in a northerly direction for a distance of 6 feet, more or less, to a point on the shoreline of an existing basin; thence meander the shoreline in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 60 feet, more or less, to a point.which is, northwesterly of the Point of Beginning and on the prolonga- tion of the second named course, extended northwesterly to the shoreline; thence bear southeasterly along said prolonga- tion for a distance of 25 feet, more or less, back to the Point of Beginning. The above metes and bounds description is to be a part of a "SKETCH OF SURVEY" made by C. G. Bailey, Reg. Fla. Land Surveyor No. 620 and dated Sept. 20, 1949 and revised November 27, 1962. be re -conveyed to the former owners of said lands, to -wit, J..Douglas Grannis. and Ruth A. ,Grannis, husband and wife. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Chairman and the Clerk of said Board be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary Quit Claim Deed to effect the transfer of said lands as. aforesaid.
