A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
HEALTH AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES (HRS) TO PROVIDE
ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT AS A RESULT OF
HURRICANE ANDREW
WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Department of Health and
Rehabilitative Services (HRS) has awarded $392,250 to Monroe
County to provide fundinq for the treatment of alcohol and druq
resultinq from the impact of Hurricane Andrew on Monroe County;
and
WHEREAS, there is no match requirement for this qrant, and
the qrant period is for twelve months from execution; and
WHEREAS, this treatment will be delivered by Monroe County
throuqh a network of substance abuse treatment providers
authorized for the same by HRS; and
WHEREAS, HRS has specified in the award notification and in
this contract that those providers shall be the Guid~nce Cl~ic ~~
of the Middle Keys, and the Life Center Foundation, ~c., and 'f",
that their facilities shall be considered the delivetjsitesc-for"-'1

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF C
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor of the Board o~.6ountY8
Commissioners is hereby authorized to execute an aqreement wi~
the State of Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative ~
Services for the above purposes, and that the Board authorizes
the County Administrator with siqnature authority on the required
fiscal reports.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a reqular meetinq of said Board held
on the 16th day of June, A.D. 1993.
