Resolution 015-1965 RESOLUTION NO. 15 -1965 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, being the governing body of said County, is vitally interested in the health and public welfare of the citizens of said County, and WHEREAS, said Board feels that inasmuch as the Secretary of the Navy has indicated that there now exists a water shortage in said County, if the City of Key West, the Florida Keys Aqueduct Commission, the Utility Board of the City of Key West and the Board of County Commission- ers of Monroe County, Florida would hold a joint meeting, action could be taken to immediately take steps to insure an adequate water supply for the Florida Keys and the City of Key West, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the City of Key West, Florida, the Florida Keys Aqueduct Commission, the Utility Board of the City of Key West, Florida and the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida take immediate steps to hold a joint conference to discuss the water shortage, in an effort to effect a satisfactory solution without further delay, and said Board of County Commissioners hereby indicates its will- ingness, as the governing body of said County, to meet with said organi- zations, as the water shortage concerns not only the City of Key West, but the entire Florida Keys, which is under the jurisdiction of said Board of County Commissioners. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that copies of this Resolution be sent to the City of Key West, Florida, the Florida Keys Aqueduct Commission, the Utility Board of the City of Key West, Florida, and the Secretary of the Navy in Washington, D.
