RESOLUTION NO.
19-1965
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, has been petitioned to renounce and disclaim any right of the Coun-
ty and the public in and to the hereinafter described streets, alley-ways,
roads or highways as delineated on the hereinafter described map or plat; and
WHEREAS, due notice has been published and a public hearing has
been held in accordance with Chapter 336, Florida Statutes 1963; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing no objections were made to the
renouncing and disclaiming of any right of the County and the public in and
to the hereinafter described streets, alley-ways, roads or highways as de-
lineated on the hereinafter described map or plat, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that said Board hereby renounces and
disclaims any right of the County and the public in and to the following de-
scribed streets, alley-ways, roads or highways as delineated on the here-
inafter described map or plat, to -wit:
A strip of land in a part of Summerland Estates and Summer-
land Estates, Re-subdivision No.2, as recorded in Plat Book
2, Page 167, and Plat Book 4, Page 2, of the Public Records
of Monroe County, Florida, and being more particularly de-
scribed by metes and bounds as follows: Commencing at the
intersection of the North Line of 44th Street and the West Line
of Katherine Street, said point also to be known as the Point of
Beginning of the strip of land hereinafter described, bear
northerly along the West Line of Katherine Street for a distance
of 847.51 feet to a point on the southerly line of Elizabeth Street;
thence easterly along the southerly line of Elizabeth Street,
42.89 feet to a point on the East Line of Katherine Street;
thence southerly along the East Line of Katherine Street, 832.03
feet to a point where the northerly line of 44th Street would in-
tersect the East Line of Katherine Street if extended easterly;
thence westerly along the northerly line of 44th Street extended
easterly, 40 feet back to the Point of Beginning.
ALSO
A strip of land in a part of Summerland Estates and Summer-
land Estates, Re-subdivision No.2, as recorded in Plat Book
2, Page 167, and Plat Book 4, Page 2, of the Public Records
of Monroe County, Florida and being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows: Commencing at the intersection
of the North Line of 44th Street and the West Line of Katherine
Street, bear northerly along the West Line of Katherine Street,
847.51 feet to the South Line of Elizabeth Street; thence westerly
along the South Line of Elizabeth Stree~, 216.36 feet to the Point
of Beginning of the strip of land hereinafter described; thence
northerly along the East Line of 46th Street, extended northerly,
40.08 feet; thence easterly along the North Line of Elizabeth
Street, 798.99 feet to the West Line of East Shore Drive; thence
southerly along the West Line of East Shore Drive, 42.89 feet
to the South Line of Elizabeth Street; thence westerly along the
South Line of Elizabeth Street, 811.93 feet back to the Point
of Beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said
Board be, and he is hereby ordered to publish notice of the adoption of this
Resolution by said Board in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 336,
Florida Statutes 1963.
